Vegas Night, Food lies we tell, New Car Technology to avoid fines, Old Wives Tal

5:45 Tonight is the United Way of Eastern Panhandle's annual fundraiser—Vegas Review. It will feature illusionist Mario Orsini, lots of fun and raffles, drawings, a silent auction and the best part ever...it will be hosted by our very own Hans Fogle! If you'd like to attend get tickets and information at www.UWAYep.org

Also this: Grey's Anatomy last night. OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! Don't worry, I'm not giving away any spoilers.

6:15 So, I tend to make excuses to try to justify some of my food choices. So I had to laugh when I came across this on Cafemom.com

See, Cafe Mom asked moms to share what food fibs they tell themselves Here are a few of my faves (that I might or might not be guilty of):

  • "I can eat whatever I want because I just burned off a lot of calories during my workout."

  • "Wine is a fruit."

  • "Chipotle is organic, so I can eat it all the time."

  • "Cheesecake is a dairy product and if it's got fruit on it, it's perfectly healthy."

  • "Anything you eat while nursing/pumping has no calories!"

  • "Chocolate has been shown to have health benefits, so that box of Godiva's practically good for me!"

  • "Peanut butter is protein ... even if it's in a Reese's peanut butter cup."

  • "I really enjoy munching on carrots rather than on potato chips ..."
What's the most common food lie you tell yourself?

6:45 Hans and I talked about GPS and how they mispronounce words and get angry when you reroute them. Then there's this...Cool.

BACKSEAT DRIVER IN FRONT:
Ford Motor Company is set to unveil a car that can read road signs and adjust its speed accordingly to ensure the vehicle is not driving too fast. The 'Intelligent Speed Limiter' is activated via the steering wheel and can be briefly overridden by pressing firmly on the accelerator. The idea is to help drivers avoid fines and reduce the number of accidents. The new vehicles will alert the driver to detected road signs via a read-out in the center of the car's speedometer. Ford's technology becomes available to the public this August, when it launches the 2nd generation of its S-Max cars in Europe. It will subsequently roll out around-the-world. (Virtually no one drives the speed limit, right? We all go just enough over to make it unlikely we'll be pulled over. So who will actually turn this gizmo on?)

Read it all here:

7:15 So my one friend made an independent movie about an old wives tale: If a woman's second toe is longer than the "thumb toe" it means she'll be a headstrong wife. The movie was called "Footsie and the Toe".

Anyway, I starting thinking about that when I saw the quiz from candybuzz below. Then I found even more old wives tales from Readers digest. OLD WIVES TALES...http://www.rd.com/slideshows/popular-old-wives-tales-fiction-or-fact/

Then I saw this... (spiraling here) Hand length quiz.
http://candybuzz.net/q/180/

This is what I got.

http://www.answerology.com/index.aspx/question/2716730_Ole-wives-tale-or-truth-If-a-womans-toe-next-to-her-big-toe-is-bigger-than-her-big-toe-this-is.html

8:15 So yesterday, I was squawking on the radio about how my boss said he was so awesome at miniature golf. Yesterday was Puttin for Panhandle Home Health and true to form, he was actually very good! Apparently, he had the highest score on our station team. I now apologize for giving him a hard time and saying that he was probably all talk.

8:45 Friday Toy Memory: You're in middle school, you've got hormones jumping around in your body, you've got to take gym and what does the school require you to do? This? Wear Awkward gym uniforms. Greeeeeeaaaat!

Spanx smuggle, Vaguebooking and oversharing :(, My boss talking smack about mini

5:45 Oh Gramma...that's NOT what your Spanx are for!

A 70-year-old woman was arrested at New York's JFK Airport after federal agents found four pounds of drugs in her Spanx.

Olive Fowler had just arrived on a flight from Guyana. As customs agents executed a routine search of her bags, they noticed she appeared sweaty and nervous, and became suspicious. So they performed a pat down and discovered some unusual bulges in her clothing. A further search turned up nearly four pounds of cocaine hidden inside her granny panties.

Fowler was arrested on narcotics charges and is being held in jail. (Don't believe this story? Read it here on The Smoking Gun)

6:15 I CAN NOT STAND people who vaguebook or overshare on Facebook. If you can't figure out how to address people in real life, then you need to get a clue and grow up. I have a friend who does just this. She posts vague things on Facebook such as: "In my life, It's been revealed to me who my real friend are. I vow to pay more attention to some and leave others behind. The true colors of others makes me sad. #newme" Huh? Who is she directing this to/at? Is it me? What did I do?

SO then you have those people but you also have the people who overshare everything! They're called Oversharenters. We've dicussed this before.
Did you hear about he other mother who was shamed for oversharing on Facebook?Well, this woman did so much that a group of people got together to call her out on it. I may not agree with the incessant posting of pics and comments about your children, but I don't think it's cool or necessary to get meanspirited and send nasty letters...from a group of people! (I can simply just turn away). Read what happened here: http://www.evoke.ie/extra/mother-shamed-on-facebook-for-oversharing/

Did you hear about he other mother who was shamed for oversharing on Facebook?

7:15 2 things...

  • Yesterday at the Administrative Professionals luncheon, I our boss was talking a smack about being an amazing Miniature Golfer. He was bragging that he could "bring the pain". I'll let you know tomorrow if this is in fact a reality or if he's just blowing smoke.
  • My friend Arnee is getting married Saturday and it's a whole weekend affair. This is becoming more and more of a thing with people. With that, it means that weddings are getting more and more expensive. Enter this article I read on Forbes. Just the beginning says it all...

Being a wedding guest just got more expensive. The average guest plans to spend $673 to attend a wedding this year—some 14% higher than last year's number, which was $592, according to the latest American Express Spending & Saving Tracker. (People in the wedding party plan to spend only $28 more, surprisingly enough.)

2 big days in one! Creepy stuff, Oh me, Earth Day stuff, Comfort Food, Men/Women

5:15 My friend is a restaurant owner. She posted this on facebook about creepy things happening in her restaurant:

"That moment when you are sitting not only alone in the office but in the locked building and a blast of cold air comes through and the printer just starts printing 25 blank pieces of paper. Not gonna lie, me and my goose bumps got straight up sans purse, lip gloss and jacket and walked straight out of the building."

5:45 I sometimes waste so much time getting ready. Last night, I was trying to be prepared for Admin Professionals Day luncheon. So I gathered 3 different outifts and accessorized them, got them ready. Only to wake up and go "Nah, I'm not feeling any of those clothes and try to create a new outfit or two while sleep deprived and rushing to work. So now my house (and my car) has a pile of clothes when I was getting ready for Administrative Professionals day. Ugh.

6:15 Two things that are Earth Day related:

1. This. Who doesn't love the sight of a good rainbow. Four rainbows are even better! This pic is going viral on Facebook. Happy Day.-Rona

"Quadruple rainbow at the Glen Cove NY train station. Today will be four pots of gold lucky ‪#‎chasetherainbow‬"

2. Make plans to see the Lyrid Meteor Showers tonight in the late evening and early morning hours. Meteorologists say our area (the Mid-Atlantic) is a good place for meteor watching. 6:45 WHAT YOUR COMFORT FOOD SAYS ABOUT YOU:

No matter what meal strikes you as comfort food, you likely love the dish based on a good relationship with the person you remember first preparing it. Researchers at New York's University of Buffalo note that comfort foods are often the foods that our parents or care-givers gave us when we were children. As long we have a positive association with the person who made that food then there's a good chance that we will sometimes be drawn to return to it. Previous research has shown that comfort food can reduce feelings of rejection and isolation. (Pass the chicken noodle soup.)
Get the story at: http://www.futurity.org/comfort-food-relationship-887942/

7:15 This just goes to show...men and women communicate so differently...well, honestly...they lie:

Hans and I checked each other to see who among the two of us tells these lies...as promised, we both lie!

THE LIES HE TELLS HER:
▪ "I tried to call, but I couldn't find my phone, and then I thought is was too late and I didn't want to wake you."
▪ "
I'd love to go shoe shopping with you."
▪ "Yes, I noticed your new haircut, and yes, it looks wonderful."
▪ "I'll be home in half-an-hour."
▪ "I'm listening."
▪ "One more beer and then we can leave."
THE LIES SHE TELLS HIM:
▪ "
I would never tell my girlfriends your secrets."
▪ "My mother and I have a really good, healthy relationship."
▪ "I would never go through your personal stuff."
▪ "Those models look ill. I would never want to be that thin."
▪ "Yes, of course I read all the directions!"
▪ "I'll be ready in 10 minutes."

7:45 Got my car back (after about a month) and it was really clean. My boss even took notice of it's handsomeness!

8:15 Administrative Professionals Day and Earth Day are both today.

Later today, I'll be at The Purple Iris MC'ing the Administrative Professionals day Luncheon. Each year, it's such a joy to be asked. Each year, I learn a little something about cooking from Chef Dan and Sous Chef Brian.

Today, our lesson (and delicous eating will come from Brining, curing, and smoking seafood and meat. Can't wait!

Kindergarten Day, Best infomercials ever, Find your phone by googling it!, Crazy

5:45 So today is Kindergarten Day. Do you have any memories from your kindergarten days?

I remember when I was in kindergarten, my friend Sherry, was fingerpainting and I moved in on her canvas. She came up and asked me to move. When I didn't, she bit me. We have been very close friends since that time.

6:15
Best infomercials EVER!!!!! I have always been a big fan of infomercials for the cheese factor, the over the top promises, and the sheer wit with which they sell me things I DON'T need!

Here's one list:
http://www.buzzfeed.com/michelleregna/but-wait-theres-more#.lvN5Wl9Pq I don't quite remember all of these but I do remember some from this list...

http://content.time.com/time/specials/packages/completelist/0,29569,2011470,00.html

Some of my faves are:

-Hawaii Chair

7:15 I tried the "Find My Phone" feature from Google. I learned about it yesterday and it worked! You put your location settings on, you turned on your sound and as long as your phone is synced with Google, it should find it and ring it for you. It's a great way to find your phone if you lose it often. Here's how to do it. It didn't work when I tried it on the air today. Bummed! :( Get the story and try it here.

8:15 Who comes up with these concoctions? I was at a party over the weekend and we were talking about that pizza that little Caesar's has with the bacon on the edge of the crust. Check this out: http://littlecaesars.com/OurMenu/Pizza/BaconWrappedCrustPizza.aspx

Now comes this:Carl's Jr. Testing Pepperoni Pizza Fries

Get the info about this taste treat here:YUM!

We thought the pizza-french-fry mashup had reached its peak with a pizza made with a French fry crust — but we were so, so wrong.

Carl's Jr. has begun testing Pepperoni Pizza Fries in about a dozen of its southern California locations, USA Today reports.

What are pepperoni fries, you ask? An order of peel-on French fries topped generously with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and sliced pepperoni.

"It may look like a mess — but it's messy good," said Brad Haley, chief marketing officer at the fast food chain.

But this new menu item isn't the mark of a new pizza-venture for the company: Carl's Jr. is focused on burgers. "Pizza is not part of our brand character, but pizza fries go great with burgers," Haley says.

The side order retails for for $2.39, but no word on if or when the fries will hit stores nationwide.

It's 4/20 day, Eat cheese--it might help you lose weight, Origins of slang, Admi

5:45 IT'S 4/20! YOU KNOW … WEED DAY?

Today is April 20th. 4/20. Weed Day.

Somehow, this date has become a counterculture holiday, celebrated by stoners getting together and smoking out.

And since the tide is turning with more and more communities relaxing their restrictions, the "holiday" is sure to grow in popularity.

Could we see it get as big as Cinco de Mayo? Umm. I can't see it.

6:15 I'm all over the first part of this...I'm going to ignore that part at the end that says "only in moderation" blah blah...

STUDY: Eating Cheese May Help You Lose Weight

A new scientific study has suggested that eating cheese may help individuals struggling to lose weight – and contribute to keeping the pounds off.

The Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry published a study this month that discussed the importance of something researchers labelled "cheese metabolism".

Scientists from the University of Copenhagen and Aarhus University compared urine and faecal samples from 15 men, who consumed a diet featuring milk and cheese or butter but no other dairy products for two weeks.

The small test, which was partially funded by the Danish Dairy Research Foundation, found that those who ate cheese (or milk) during the trial had a noticeable different composition of bacteria in their gut.

The cheese-eating group had higher levels of the compound butyrate, an anti-inflammatory fatty acid that can increase energy production.

Butyrate has been found, in some circumstances, to improve metabolism, maintain body fat percentages and prevent the development of obesity – according to an American Diabetes Association study in 2009.

Despite this, don't go rushing to the cheese board just yet.

The "French paradox", as researchers term it, is more down to the balanced diet many in France still maintain, rather an active decision to gorge themselves on the finest blue.

7:15 ORIGINS OF SLANG:

A BS look at where some common sayings come from …
✓ "Cool" – Originally slang for 'fashionable' in jazz circles, tenor saxophonist Lester Young (1909-59) is said to have first popularized it in the 1930s.
✓ "Cut to the chase" – Most films in the 1920s set up romantic storylines before getting to the exciting end … the chase sequence. That's what many moviegoers considered the good part.
✓ "Dope" – 'Doop' is Dutch for "sauce" but by the early 1800s, any thick or viscous liquid was being called dope. Eventually that included the brown gunk that is opium.
✓ "Gay" – No one's entirely sure where the gay/homosexual link came in but it's dated to 1922. The teenage twisting of gay to mean something stupid or lame didn't come about till the 1970s.
✓ "Geek" – First showed up in northern Britain in 1876 to refer to a fool. Americans tweaked the meaning and by 1957 it meant "an unsociable and over-diligent student".
✓ "Haywire" – As the wire used to bind bales of hay together was springy and somewhat uncontrollable, it came to symbolize something or someone going out of control.
✓ "Jumping on the bandwagon" – Dates back to circus impresario PT Barnum (1810-91), the bandwagon being the vehicle that carried the circus troupe into town.
✓ "Nitty gritty" – Referring to the basics of something, nitty-gritty may have originally referred to 'nits' (a parasitic insect's egg) and 'grits' (finely ground corn) as tiny, fine things.

8:15 Since Today is tye kickoff of Administrative Professionals Day, I want to give you a chance to call in and give your administrative professional a shout out! Tell us what they do to make your office run so smoothly...Sad to say, I got NO calls, I got no texts.

Get up offa that thing, Make her laugh, Prank B-day card, Crazy Math Prob, Cat W

5:45 Get up offa that thing!...STAND UP FOR YOUR HEALTH:
Office workers need to get off their backsides and move around more, according to a new health campaign in Britain. Sitting for long periods at work is linked to a host of health problems, which are not undone by working out at the gym. A few results from a recent survey of 2,000 office workers …
78% agree that they spend too much time sitting down.
Nearly two-thirds are worried that sitting at work is having a negative impact on their health.
45% of women and 37% of men spend less than 30 minutes a day on their feet at work.
More than half regularly eat their lunch at their desks.
So, what to do? Experts suggest standing regularly, walking around more, taking a break from the computer every half-hour, using stairs instead of an elevator, and embracing creative ideas such as standing meetings or standing desks. Standing burns an extra 50 calories per hour compared to sitting. (Ever tried doing your show while standing?)

6:15 Guys, do women just defy your understanding? Here's some helpful advice...make her laugh!!!!

MAKING A WOMAN LAUGH IS THE KEY TO SPARKING A RELATIONSHIP

According to a new study from University College London and Oxford University, making a woman laugh is the key to sparking a relationship.

Isn't it great that some of the greatest minds at some of the greatest universities on the planet are burning the midnight oil in order to help you get lucky? Thanks, brainiacs!

The researchers found that simply getting the woman across from you to laugh improves your chances of getting her to let guard down and to share deeper personal information.

And, none of this is magic. It's all biology.

Laughing causes the release of endorphins. You know … the feel good hormones. So, getting your date to laugh causes her brain to think that she's finally found "the one."

To all you guys who have been struggling with women lately … you're welcome. (The full story can be found here: UPI)

6:45 So funny. Remember when they had those birthday cake candles that would just keep relighting themselves? You'd give yourself seeing stars and they would keep coming back on? Yeah, those...this is the new companion to them...

PRANK BIRTHDAY CARD WON'T STOP PLAYING MUSIC _ Brothers Travis and Nick Peterson have designed a truly evil musical birthday card: Once it starts playing, it won't stop for at least three hours. The brothers are funding the hilarious idea on Kickstarter, already raising well more than their original $7,500 goal. • Go here to see it: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2059520145/the-best-prank-birthday-card-ever

7:15 I'm totally like Derek Zoolander (He's the character Ben Stiller made about kids who can't do stuff good...) Anyway, I saw this online and got so confused with it that it was a flashback of my lack of math skills. It was a viral confusing math problem, that ended up being a real problem, which is explained here:

It was called" 'Cheryl's Birthday' Math Problem.

Never mind the color of that dress: When is Cheryl's birthday?

The latest viral puzzler to stump the Internet started out as a question for students in Singapore and spread around the world after it was posted here, reports the Washington Post.

Students were asked to determine the birthday of a girl called Cheryl, who had given new friends Albert and Bernard a list of 10 possible dates and told one boy the month and the other the day. The puzzler was initially identified as one for 10- or 11-year-old students, causing mild alarm for Singaporean parents, but it turned out to be a question for high school sophomores and juniors at the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiads.

"It's a really difficult question for younger kids, so that's why people were so shocked at first ... but now that people know it's for older students, they just think it's quirky," the Singapore TV presenter who first posted it tells the BBC.

The math competition posted the answer here.

At the New York Times, Kenneth Chang provides a detailed explanation while wondering, "Why is Cheryl so coy about revealing the month and day, but not year, of her birthday? What else is Cheryl trying to hide?"

8:15 So you never have to worry about having a night alone on the couch with a glass of wine. Now you can have a glass of vino with your very refined feline friend. Well, sorta! Kitty Cat wine...is now a thing. http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/10/15/never-drink-alone-again-because-now-theres-wine-for-cats/

8:45 Friday Toy Memory- I remember I was a "walker" when I was in Elementary school. At that time, we walked too and from school and there were very special kids who were chosen as the Patrols. They got to wear a fashionable orange belt, they got to take class pictures and they got special treatment if I recall correctly. I was finally a patrol by the time I was in 6th grade and I thought it was pretty cool. This picture is from my elementary school—though I'm not in it, it does have it's 70's grooviness covered!

7:15 The Work Spouse: 10 Benefits of Having a Partner at WorkWe went through and checked off the list of Work spouse whatevers...it's true for most of these with Hans and I. I've highlighted the ones that fit for us. Here are a few of the benefits of having a work spouse. Read the whole article here.

1. He knows how you like your breakfast, lunch and even coffee and orders in advance for you. Especially coffee.

2. You can rant all you want and he will be the patient guy who hears you out. And if you are having a bad day, he will crack a joke or two to make you smile.

3. When you need an opinion from the opposite sex's point of view.

7. When something eventful happens at work, you have someone to share all the gossip with. (You have no idea how true this is for us!)

8. The best part about having a work spouse are those inside jokes which no else one understands.

10. He is always accommodating of your working lifestyle. If there are days you are working late, he will sit and help you out and not complain, because he understands. Or in Hans' case, he'll just make sure to come in and distract me to the point that we look at the clock and say "Wasn't I supposed to be gone a half an hour ago?"

Our bodies are awesome! Tax day freebies, Breakfast fast food wars!, Emails answ

5:45 Our bodies have warning senses:

Our senses have warning systems to alert us to possible dangers. A bitter taste warns us away from poisons. A putrid smell alerts us that food may not be safe to eat. Our eyes close automatically when exposed to a flash of light. Pain receptors in our skin warn us to pull away from something hot. But what about hearing? Northwestern University researchers think they have discovered a pain receptor system in the ears, and it may be why we instinctively put our fingers in our ears or clap our hands over them when we hear an ambulance or a jackhammer or other loud noise. It's thought a neural pathway from the inner ear to the brain may serve as an auditory alarm system. Studies show its neurons aren't activated by normal levels of sound, only by noxious or dangerous noise. (Aunt Agnes letting out a belly laugh, for instance.)

Most e-mail gets answered in 2 minutes!!!

When you're at work...do you return e-mails quickly? If so, you're like everyone else. According to a news story Good Morning America, most e-mails get answered in just two minutes. Highlights are below:

Yahoo Labs in California and Spain decided to research how we use e-mails. They found some interesting info such as over 80% of users replied to e-mails in a day, half doing that within an hour. The most frequently occurring reply time was just two minutes. Most email replies were very short: between 5 and 43 words. Just 30 percent of emails went on for 100 words or more.

You heard my impromptu e-mail exchange but I did it verbally...on the air...cause I'm kind of a goober like that!

McDonald's Fashion?, Conversations with strangers, Trick yourself into getting r

5:45 MCDONALD'S HAS LAUNCHED A 'BIG MAC' CLOTHING LINE _ In the wake of Burger King releasing a Whopper-scented fragrance, McDonald's Sweden is launching a Big Mac clothing and lifestyle line. The line will consist of clothing, wallpaper, bedsheets, rain boots, and even a dog jacket, all peppered with photos of the chain's most popular sandwich.

Watch this news story about the clothing line from ABC News...

This comes on the heels of : McDonald's is introducing its biggest burger, the Sirloin Third Pounder. Click the link and look at that sandwich. Yum! That's a lot of uh...meat!

6:15 Do you like it when random strangers start a conversation with you? I do...sometimes. Check out this interesting stat:

62% of people like it when strangers start a conversation with them.

https://today.yougov.com/news/2015/03/30/talking-the-talk/

YouGov recently asked Americans about which conversational behaviors they like and which they dislike. Some findings were less surprising than others, for example the vast majority of Americans try to limit the volume of their conversations when they're out and about. Others played into existing stereotypes we have about certain groups. Southerners are polite; younger Americans are self-centered; and Northeasterners are cold.

When Americans were asked about how they felt about profanity people in the Northeast were the most likely to say that profanity 'can be descriptive and add something to a conversation'. 52% of Northeasterners opted to say that there is a place for profanity, compared to 48% who think it's offensive and unnecessary. People in the West were split 50%-50%, while large numbers of Midwesterners (59%) and Southerners (63%) reject profanity.

Check out more from the study's findings here.

6:45 WAYS TO TRICK YOURSELF INTO GETTING RICH

Tomorrow is Tax Day, which can be depressing for many people. Another year of working – without much to show for it.

Well, make it a priority to make this year better by tricking yourself into getting rich. Or, at least, by starting to move in the right direction.

  • Set a Savings Goal That Fits – If you're a big picture guy, then set a long-term savings goal. If you're a nuts-and-bolts guy, then set a paycheck-to-paycheck goal. Either way, keep it reasonable. You don't want to burn out. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

  • Use Windfalls Wisely – If you're getting a tax refund, consider not buying that new flatscreen TV and putting it away instead.

  • Roll Your Old Payments Forward – When you pay off a car, take that old payment and sock it away. Take the bump in your cash flow to the bank instead of going out and getting a motorcycle.

The whole idea is to regularly – and painlessly – build your nest egg so you can retire and quit working your crappy job. (<=====I'm not saying that MY job is crappy or your's either. Read the story at :Time)

7:15 Wacky Sports Mascots

The NCAA Tournament/March Madness wrapped up recently and it's kinda funny it got me to thinking about team mascots. Now that we're into baseball season, I've heard some silly/funny/interesting team mascot names. The story of the 20 most unsual team mascot names on USAToday.com. So funny...here are a few of my favorites:

  • Utah Jazz—they were named that when they were in New Orleans.but in Utah...makes no sense
  • Minnesota Wild---um...wild what?

  • Batavia (N.Y.) Muckdogs: This minor league baseball team serves as the Short-Season Class-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins.

  • You thought it wasn't real when Borat sang to this but it's true..apparently. Savannah (Ga.) Sand Gnats: Minor league baseball team is a member of the A-level South Atlantic League since the 2007 season, serving as an affiliate of the New York Mets.

  • (And finally, my favorite) Montgomery (Ala.) Biscuits: Minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays . I wonder what they serve at the stadium? Biscuits I would hope!

8:15 Know a baldy? Tell him this stuff (if he has a hard time with his hair loss)

STUDY: Plucking Hair Can Help Treat Baldness--

If you're bald, the quickest way to a full head of hair could be getting rid of the remaining follicles.

It may seem counterintuitive, but plucking your hair could actually lead to hair growth, according to Medical News Today.

New research from the University of Southern California that was published in the journal Cell has shown that plucking 200 hairs from the back of a mouse in a specific pattern led to the growth of up to 1,300 hairs in their place.

In a painstakingly accurate experiment, researchers individually plucked the 200 hairs from a region on the backs of mice that is three to five millimeters in diameters.

Doing so led to the regeneration of 450-1,300 new hair follicles. Get more info from the story here.

Drinking Coffee can help your liver, 15 Grocery store mistakes, We want Plates!,

5:45 I read the subject line and thought the story would be something completely different. Once I read it I thought..."well, this is news you can use". Except, it took a different turn. Read on to see what I mean!

DRINKING COFFEE MAY HELP PROTECT YOUR LIVER

If you're a heavy drinker, you might know that you're leaning on your liver to keep you healthy as your liver works non-stop to filter toxins out of your blood.

Researchers have known for a while that having three drinks per day increases your risk of getting tumors in your liver in a big way.

But luckily, a new study says you can do something about this – and it's probably something you're already doing … chugging coffee.

Drinking coffee may help protect your liver from the effects of all that booze you're drinking.

The scientists want to study this more and still recommend that guys stick to two drinks per day.

But in the meantime, reach for a little more coffee. Other than giving you the jitters, it can't do too much harm. (Read the whole thing here: on MedicalDaily)

6:15 I got the grocery store the other day and was standing there trying to figure out whether I had cilantro or parsley in my hand. Then I saw this Buzzfeed list about all the things that you have a hard time with at the grocery store. So helpful.

I also mentioned the time that I tried to substitute baking soda for baking powder. The cake that I was baking didn't rise. It was a flat disk in the pan...like a frisbee. I couldn't take it to the potluck, it had to go in the trash. Read. Use. You're welcome. 15 Mistakes you are making at the Grocery Store--Buzzfeed

Here's one quick example: Cilantro vs Parsley

Like this: Which one is Parsley and which one is Cilanro? Parsley is slightly grassy but extremely mild tasting. The stems are good for adding flavor to soups or broths. The leaves are slightly rough and more resilient than cilantro leaves, which means they don't wilt or get soggy as easily.

Cilantro has a stronger, slightly soapy taste very similar to coriander (since cilantro leaves actually grow from the coriander seed). In fact, adding the stems to a soup or broth will add a coriander flavor. The leaves make a very flavorful garnish, but are really soft and wilt easily.

IN A NUTSHELL: You will never have to stop looking closely to tell the difference, but the one with the little rounded tips is cilantro.

Can I substitute one for the other? Sort of. Using the wrong herb will change the flavor profile of your dish, but it'll still be totally edible and possibly even delicious.

Get the whole list here...you'll learn a lot. I did! http://www.buzzfeed.com/christinebyrne/grocery-store-mistakes-everybody-makes?&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Food%20311&utm_content=Food%20311+CID_c53198d571cb5edb3a9d37dea81cc94a&utm_source=Campaign%20Monitor&utm_term=Grocery%20games#.bc6VKZlpq

6:45 When you are serving food...remember NEVER to serve it in a shoe or some other nonsense! TWITTER CAMPAIGN MOCKS HIPSTER RESTAURANTS _ A Twitter account launched to ridicule trendy restaurants which serve food on wooden boards and tiles has gone viral. Sports journalist Ross McGinnes has attracted thousands of followers since launching his We Want Plates account just a week ago. He was inspired to set up the account after seeing his friend share a picture of a steak on a wooden board with the comment: "That is a big meal!" McGinnes says, "It wasn't a big meal. He'd fallen for the nonsense." There's also a We Want Plates Facebook page.

Toys from the 90s, Taco Bell may begin delivery, Kelly Clarkson Rocks, Dating De

5:45 Even if you weren't a child of the 90's, you probably remember some of these toys. I had the "Bop It!" and I loved forcing people to play in social situations. This is pretty funny.

Taco Bell to Start Testing Delivery Service

Check out the article here: SOURCE

Remember all those nights you spent bargaining with friends, neighbors, strangers -- basically ANYONE -- who would take you to Taco Bell when you weren't totally able to get there on your own? (Yes, that time period is otherwise referred to as "college.") Well, those days could soon be over... just as soon as Taco Bell figures out how exactly they're going to roll out their delivery plan. Taco Bell is currently on a mission to change breakfast, but the company is about to do a lot more than that according to an announcement from CEO Brian Niccol. In a March conversation with Nation's Restaurant News (NRN), Niccol said Taco Bell will begin testing out a delivery service. Niccol confirmed "some form of delivery will be in test by late this year."

But just like when Starbucks announced it would begin its own delivery service, logistics are crucial to this endeavor. How long can ground beef sit on Nachos Bell Grande before the tortilla chips turn soggy? What's the window of time in which a bean burrito stays hot? And for the love of all things holy, how do you keep a hard-shelled taco hard?

In the meantime, we can confirm that those delicious, weird-looking Cap'n Crunch Delights will be added to the breakfast menu shortly. As will the new Quesalupa, if Toledo, Ohio decides it's menu-worth

Mmmm Quesalupa!!!
(
Cosmo) also had the story.

6:45 Kelly Clarkson—fat shamed. She don't care.

Things were kinda quiet in Kelly Clarkson-land for a couple of weeks after a huge publicity blitz in late February/early March in support of her new album, Piece by Piece. There was the announcement of the tour with Pentatonix opening. The standing up to the "Most-Hated Woman in Britain"over comments about Clarkson's weight. The bluesy cover of Tracy Chapman's Give Me One Reason.

After a couple of relatively quiet weeks, the singer was back Monday as Fox News anchor Chris Wallace and radio talk-show host Mike Gallagher apologized for their own remarks about Clarkson's weight. On the same day, People.com posted 6 Times Kelly Clarkson Made More Sense Than Everyone Else, a collection of quotes about what matters in life.

Now we hear that Kelly has gotten together with American Greetings to design and create a new greeting-card line to be sold at Wal-Mart. The cards are supposed to debut this week, although not all Wal-Marts may have them just yet. How cool!

7:15 If you're single and ready to mingle. You probably want to keep some of these "Dating Dealbreakers in mind". I guess that means I need to go out and buy a bedframe...-Rona
'Must Have Bed Frame' and Other Home-Based Dating Deal Breakers

A guy on Lifehacker is newly single, in his 30s, and recently polled some friends about their dating deal breakers. He was surprised to learn (as I am) that every single person he talked to said their potential partner needed to have a real bed frame at home. It's a very specific requirement, but what are some other red flags? Here are a few dating deal breakers below:

1. No "Real" Furniture: There's a mattress on the floor where a bed frame might be, and a crate instead of a nightstand. Is it a function of finances, or lack of ability to put down roots and make a commitment?

2. Childhood Toys: We're talking the full Star Wars figurine collection, or a zoo of stuffed animals littered across the bed. Are you dating another 40-year-old virgin who can't grow up, or someone who had a really, really happy childhood?

3. An Inordinate Number of Pets: There are enough cats for an entire baseball team, and pet hair for miles. Sign of a soft and nurturing heart, or an over reliance on fur babies for a social life?

8:15 GOOD NEWS IF YOU BOOZE _ Drink every day? Get drunk once in awhile? You might be an alcoholic. Or not. A new study shows most people who drink to get drunk are not alcoholics. The finding, from a government survey of 138,100 adults, counters the conventional wisdom that every "falling-down drunk" must be addicted to alcohol. Instead, the results from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health show that nine out of 10 people who drink too much are not addicts, and can change their behavior with a little prompting. 7:45 STUDENT STARTS CLOTHING LINE FOR CHARITY

A sophomore at Indiana University started his own clothing line – and he's donating half of all profits to charity.

Proceeds from Ryan Smith's brand, called M.A.R.S., help those who are less fortunate, and help a new cause every season.

Ryan explains what motivates him: "Everyone is so greedy. There's nothing more valuable than a smile on someone's face."

Currently, proceeds from his efforts are supporting the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.

Smith said people "don't give cops enough credit," and he feels that by supporting this nonprofit organization he can not only get the word out that "every life matters," but also give credit where credit is needed. (IDSNews)

Your name can determine your future, Hans is messy, Tax advice from EY Tax Guide

6:15 IF you've ever seen this sketch from Key & Peele on Comedy Central. It's pretty funny. I love it. (note some of the language though. Also, this bit did not go where I thought it would...)

It got me to thinking about naming kids (Not that I have kids or I've ever named kids but...)

A Child's Name Can Determine His Future (this story did not go where I thought it would)
Think carefully about the names you give your children, because it could determine the course of their entire lives – from their choice of profession to the place where they'll live. Research conducted by PBS's BrainCraft series found that the act of writing our names over and over again can result in implicit egotism – a kind of obsession with the letters and sounds involved in our own names. This causes people to be more attracted to places, careers and people that have a link to the letters in our names. For example, St. Louis was found to have an unusually high amount of people named Louis and there are an extremely high number of dentists named Dennis, Dena and Denise. In short, people, generally speaking, like themselves and therefore like things that remind them of themselves. If that holds true then Ramblin Rona, or Radio Rona makes sense. (The story can be found here at Daily Mail)

6:45 Hans was in Studio with me. We talked about his organizational style...his studio looks like a tsunami, or maybe tazmanian devil has come through. Check out this pic of his news studio. 8:15 MEN ARE HARDWIRED TO PREFER CURVY WOMEN

According to a new study from the University of Texas, men prefer women curvy women. More specifically, they prefer a curvy backside.

Researchers found that guys instinctively pay attention to the spot where a woman's spine connects to her hips and buttocks.

If that connection is flat, guys aren't turned on.

But if that connection is curved – and it looks like a woman's backside pops out – guys get revved up.

And all this is supposedly an "evolutionary preference" because women with the right angle back there – approximately 45.5 degrees – are most likely to carry out successful pregnancies.

So all the lust for big booties isn't just men being shallow. Instead, guys just can't help it. (Read this here at TechTimes)

Hairy dudes, The Jetsons in 2 years?,Getting over a breakup, Dancing is good for

5:45 Me man. Me hairy. Me attractive and dominant right? I'm joking. That's what a new study is saying about men...that they are growing hair to appear more dominant...and attract the ladies. Maybe

According to a new study from the University of Western Australia, guys are growing beards to prove dominance and attract women.

Researchers found that men are rocking man buns, mustaches, beards, and chest hair – all in an effort to stand out from other guys.

In large groups, this hair ends up being a tool that supposedly indicates a man's strength and quality.

It is debatable, of course, that a hairy man is a strong, quality man.

Right or wrong, that's what the scientists say is going on out there. (Read it all here: DailyMail)

6:15 COMPANY SAYS FLYING CAR WILL BE ON THE MARKET IN TWO YEARS

A company in Slovakia says that they're just two years away from putting a flying car on the market.

AeroMobil claims they have a flying car prototype that fits into any standard parking space, uses regular gasoline, and can be used in road traffic just like any other car.

And then, if you want to use it as a plane, all you need is an airport – or even just a grass strip or paved surface just a few hundred yards long.

The idea of this thing actually being ready to use in two years seems ambitious. But it sure is fun to dream about. (See what the fuss is about here: Gizmodo)

7:15 Breakups Breakups Breakups!

Think about it, the last time you broke up with your significant other, who was the first person that you called? After a bad break-up, who's the first person most people call. Can you guess? Man or woman, the person who got dumped most often calls a good female friend — 27%. Mom comes in second at 17%.

Then I read the Best Way to Get Over A Breakup:

So it turns out the best way to get over a breakup is NOT to eat an entire pan of brownies, down a few bottles of Cab, or meet a new stranger. (it's not? sad I've been doing it all wrong). Believe it or not, a study shows that the best way to get over it is to dwell on it.

After studying 200-plus adults who had recently gone through a breakup, researchers at the University of Arizona and Northwestern University found that the most effective way to get over a split was to talk about it.

They found that the people who discussed their breakups at length over a two-month period reported feeling less lonely and had fewer obsessive thoughts than those who didn't spend a lot of time talking about it. Your poor friends … (The Gloss)

I put the question to our listeners: "Tell me how you got over a bad breakup"

Marie simply said---"Moved on".

T said-- "After a breakup, I remember ALL his 'quirks' that drove me nuts but I overlooked because he was "misunderstood" and I was in lust. ;-)

Okay, I know I've exhausted this topic but then after we finished talking about it, I found this so I felt I should include it.:

Well it seems Nervous People Excel At Work

Hiring managers may be drawn to confident, upbeat people but employees who are a little nervous and insecure may make better employees. According to experts, people who are nervous or pessimistic tend to get input from others and seek out additional information when working on difficult projects. Their nervous energy can also motivate them to work harder when doing difficult tasks. (Read the full article at Yahoo)

Mad Men is back, Bathe in Chocolate, Baseball's back and so is the food!, Manneq

5:45 I'm a huge Mad Men fan. Mad Men season finale was on last night. I'm glad I got a chance to watch it. In fact, I was a friend's house and let them know I needed to be home by 10pm. It was pretty funny. Luckily, they understood! If you're interested...here's some fun Mad Men info for you...

6:15 Maybe this past weekend you didn't get all the chocolate your heart desires from the Easter Bunny...but now you can have something even better....A Chocolate bath. (Ew..I guess?)

World's First Chocolate Bath Is Probably the Best Easter Gift Ever [PIC]

It's the dream.

Yes, this is a bath with molten chocolate on tap.

The world's first working chocolate bath, in fact.

It was created for hotelier playboy Danny Lambo as an Easter present for his chocoholic girlfriend, Natasha Flynn.

Costing £10,000 ($14,858), the bath lets you bathe like a queen in 205 litres (54 gallons) of chocolate.

A warming chocolate reservoir attached to the freestanding tap unit heats enough chocolate to fill a bath in 10 minutes.

So basically, you just turn on the tap and get liquid chocolate.

Because the taps are also pressurized, the chocolate develops froth so you can still have a bubble bath.

One bathtub alone is worth 1.3 million calories. Still, who's counting? See more here: | SOURCE

7:15 IT'S OPENING DAY! ENJOY A 2,200-CALORIE CHEESEBURGER! AND BOOZE!

For most Major League Baseball fans, it's Opening Day.

For fans of some teams, like the Washington Nationals, there's a lot of reason to celebrate. Your team is talented and has a chance to win it all.

For fans of other teams, like the Philadelphia Phillies, it might be a long season. Your team isn't expected to set the world on fire.

But … your stadium is serving awesome food. And, hard liquor. It's going to be a fun summer after all.

Get in line right now, Phillies fans, for a Triple Triple Wayback Burger. It's a 2,200-calorie, nine-patty, burger extravaganza. And even better ... you'll be able to wash that burger down with mixed drinks with hard liquor.

This is the first year for both that monster burger and hard liquor in the land of the Phillies.

A full belly and a bit of a buzz in the sunshine can go a long way toward dulling the pain of your less-than-stellar baseball team. (You have to see a pic of this crazy burger on Uproxx)

7:45 WEIRD MANNEQUINS IN CHINESE RESTAURANT WATCH YOU PEE

In the men's bathroom of a Chinese restaurant in the city of Taiyuan, the owners have lined up a bunch of mannequins wearing lingerie on the wall above the urinals.

That's right. While you're taking care of your business, these lovely "ladies" are staring at you. And, maybe judging you?

The restaurant has received complaints from customers about suffering stage fright. (Coed)

Talk About It:

Even if you did suffer stage fright, you couldn't tell some strange restaurant manager about it, could you? Too much information …

Why? Read the story here: http://coed.com/2015/03/31/shanxi-restaurant-bathroom-mannequins-watch-pee/

8:15 So, this isn't THAT surprising.... WE SPEND MORE TIME ON OUR PHONES THAN IN BED

Congratulations … you now spend more time on your phone every day than you do sleeping.

According to a new survey, people spend an average of 8 hours and 21 minutes sleeping every day – but they spend an average of 8 hours and 41 minutes on their phones, tablets, or laptops.

A whopping 81% of smartphone users have their phones on all the time, even in bed.

And chew on this … people spend more time checking their emails or social media accounts in the morning than they do eating breakfast or getting showered and dressed. (Read it all here in Daily Mail)

What's in a name?, Betcha ya didn't know this about peeps, Can you live w/out yo

5:45 This is the title that got my attention: Foo-Key It, I'm Keeping My Name What are ya gonna do? It's his name after all.

A college basketball player in Canada, who has a name that would make your grandmother blush, was recently allowed to wear his hilariously unfortunate name on his jersey.

The last name of the six-foot-six Brazilian-born player, who plays for Medicine Hat College in Alberta, happens to be the F-word, although it's pronounced "foo-key." For the past couple of years, the team made Guy Carbagiale [foo-key] use his middle name on his number-14 jersey, but during a recent tournament, the team relented and allowed him to use his real name.

[Foo-key] says, "It's my last name. I'm proud of it." And why wouldn't he be? It's probably made him the most popular man on campus. He tells the CBCthat he has no plans to change it. He says, "No, no, no. I want to have kids, I want to spread the [foo-key] last name." Hilarious.

Nearly Half of Us Say We Can't Live Without Our Smartphones

How much do we love our smartphones? So much that a new Pew Research Center poll out yesterday (April 1st) found that nearly half of U.S. smartphone users -- 46 percent -- said they couldn't live without their phones. Still, a larger number, 54 percent, said they're not always needed. The survey also found that 70 percent of Americans associate their smartphones more with the word "freedom" than "leash," that 72 percent think their phone is "connecting" rather than "distracting," and that a whopping 93 percent said it's "helpful" instead of "annoying." 7:45 Still stuck for what to do for the Easter Egg hunt this weekend? Here are 12 Creative ideas.

12 Creative Easter Egg Hunt Ideas

FRI APR 03, 2015 | ABOUT 3 HOURS AGO | POSTED IN: EASTER | SOURCE

Easter Sunday is just days away. Have you got all of your ducks — or eggs — in a row? If you are making last-minute plans for an egg hunt with the kids, there's still time to be creative.

We've hatched a dozen silly ways to make your celebration memorable with egg hunt ideas that are easy and quick to put together. Grab some of those plastic eggs collecting dust in the attic and pick up a few supplies from your favorite dollar store.

1. Glow-in-the-dark eggs

No plastic eggs? No problem. Put tiny treats inside balloons; then blow them up and decorate them. | Rodger Mallison Star-Telegram

This idea requires a package of small glow sticks; bracelets work well. Crack each one and roll it up to fit inside each egg, along with a treat. The best way to get the bracelet to fit is to connect the ends, then twist it into two circles. Hide the eggs outdoors for a nighttime hunt. The eggs will be easy to spot, but kids can also carry flashlights.

2. Scavenger hunt

Make the egg hunt last a little longer by having kids search for one at a time. Write up a clue to put in each egg, directing the hunters from one hiding spot to the next. Put the first clue in an empty basket to get started. The last clue can lead to a bigger prize, such as a chocolate bunny or a new book.

3. Choose your own adventure

This idea is similar to a scavenger hunt, with a twist based on a popular children's book series. Write paper clues for each egg. Put more than one clue in some of the eggs, giving the hunter a choice between two paths. Depending on the choice, the hunt might end in multiple places.

4. Color-coded eggs

Assign each child a color that he or she can hunt, then hide an equal number of eggs per child. This is a great solution when your egg hunt includes a wide age range. Older kids will not end up with all the eggs and can even help younger ones hunt for their own color.

5. Neighborhood hunt

For a neighborhoodwide egg hunt, several families on the block can get together and hide eggs. Set the boundaries and hide eggs in the bushes, in the mailbox or on the bumper of a car. Let the kids use their favorite transportation — a scooter, a bike or roller skates — to patrol the block.

8:15 WINE FIGHTS CAVITIES

Sure, red wine may turn your teeth purple, but that's OK – wine fights cavities! According to the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, wine gets rid of plaque-causing bacteria on your choppers. Cheers! (You won't believe it but it's true...according to Fitness magazine)

8:45 Friday Toy Memory: A song which I have sung over the years and never really remembered where it came from. The song is called "Surprise day Surprise day" from the 1976 Mickey Mouse Club. I found this out after a bit of research. The line I remember is "anything can happen and it usually does". Check it out and listen here. Sound familiar? It'll get stuck in your head--guarantee! smiley

Katie Couric's prank, John Legend will sing at your bar mitzvah or wedding, Ew P

Post April Fool's day. I survived without getting pranked...

5:45 Did you? Here's a good one I saw this morning. Katie Couric pretended to fall down a flight of stairs. --Rona

Also, it seems like a prank but John Legend did a wedding video to marry his two dogs. It's pretty funny but it has a serious message. It's to promote their new charity...to rebuilt a gymnasium. Get the story here and the video below: http://www.eonline.com/news/642118/john-legend-hosted-a-wedding-for-his-dogs-and-it-s-not-an-april-fools-joke

6:45 Peeps flavored Milk. Hans Came in and we chatted about that. Would you drink it...I would certainly NOT drink it!!! http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2015/03/05/peeps-flavored-milk/24424447/

7:45 Badass Great-Grandmother Skydives, Swims with Sharks for 100th Birthday.

A South African great-grandmother lived out the saying that "age is just a number" and stepped up the birthday celebration standard for the rest of us youngsters by going skydiving and swimming with sharks for her 100th birthday. Skydiving actually wasn't a new experience for Georgina Harwood, who started jumping out of planes at age 92. After successfully landing following her tandem jump Saturday (March 14th) in Cape Town, where her family and friends had watched from the ground, Harwood celebrated with a champagne toast. Then two days later, it was off to the ocean, where she went down into a shark cage to watch some great whites up-close, joined by close family, including her great-grandson. If all that wasn't enough, Harwood showed that she's a really good person too, asking guests celebrating her milestone birthday to donate to the National Sea Rescue Institute instead of giving her gifts. She told the NSRI, "What do you give an old lady? Chocolate? Whiskey? Scarves? I don't want them really." ( You can see more at Mashable)

8:15 Ewwww! You probably use your earbuds a lot more than you do. Do you use them, during your commute to work, work itself, and your commute home? If so, think about the fact that all those places have bacteria and germs. Yeah, all those germs and bacteria is just sitting on the surface of your earbuds waiting to infect you (if you share your earbuds)...so what are ya gonna do? Clean them of course because earbuds can transmit bacteria from person to person if they're shared, and even cause ear infections. Read this article from Popsugar.com to find out how and why you need to clean them. http://www.popsugar.com/tech/How-Properly-Clean-Your-Earbuds-7686915

Every day is April Fool's with me. Some April Fool's that people believed, Mom T

5:45 Glad we aren't doing April Fool's pranks around here because I'm so easily startled. Ask anyone that works here. It's true, I can be looking right at you and if you just catch me off guard, I'll still jump.

6:15 Some April Fool's jokes that people really believed...Like the BBC story that claimed there were "spaghetti bushes" in Switzerland...and people contacted the BBC wanting said bushes. https://www.yahoo.com/food/the-spaghetti-tree-aka-the-greatest-april-fools-81396814701.html

People believing that there were FAT SOX being sold by a health club. #100: FatSox

April 1, 2000: The Daily Mail revealed that Esporta Health Clubs had launched a new line of socks, dubbed FatSox, designed to help people lose weight. These revolutionary socks actually sucked body fat out of sweating feet, promising to "banish fat for ever." The American inventor of this weight-loss product, Professor Frank Ellis Elgood, explained that the socks employed a nylon polymer called FloraAstraTetrazine "previously only applied in the nutrition industry." As a person's body heat rose and their blood vessels dilated, the socks drew "excess lipid from the body through the sweat." After having sweated out the fat, the wearer could then simply wash the socks, and the fat, away. (Really people, really???)

Another one:

Swiss Mountain Cleaners

April 1, 2009: The Swiss Tourism Board released a video that revealed the secret of why their mountains look so clean. It was due to the hard work of the Association of Swiss Mountain Cleaners, whose members daily scaled the Alps, scrubbing the rocks of unsightly bird droppings. The cleaning not only maintained the beauty of the Alps, but also prevented the droppings from eating away at the rocks, causing cavities that might eventually lead to the complete erosion and disappearance of the mountains. Millions of people watched the video, and 30,000 took the online test to determine whether they had what it took to become a mountain cleaner (aka "Felsenputzer"). Later that year, due to popular demand, the Brunni cable car company began offering an actual mountain cleaning course that attracted would-be Felsenputzers from around the world.

Mom Makes Daughters Apologize For Talking During Movie

An Alabama mother forced her daughters to publicly apologize for ruining another family's movie-going experience. The two girls were so loud during a screening of Cinderella this past weekend that a mom named Rebecca Boyd tried to quiet them down. The woman explained that her husband had been laid off and this would be the last movie she'd be able to attend with her daughter. The girls' brother told their mother Kyesha Wood about the incident and she set out to make things right. Wood had the girls write a public apology – offering to pay for Boyd's next movie and snacks out of their allowance – and posted in on Facebook. The note spread quickly and made its way to Boyd and tens of thousands of other Facebook users. (The Stir)

Check It Out

Kyesha's Message:

"This is a long shot, but I'm looking for a woman that was at Tannehill Premier tonight seeing Cinderella at 7pm. I dropped my teenage daughter, step daughter, and son off at the movie. My son later told me, much to my humiliation and embarrassment, that my girls were rude and obnoxious during the movie. The woman I'm looking for addressed them and asked them to be quiet and they were disrespectful. After the movie she approached my girls and told them that her husband had been laid off and this was the last movie she would be able to take her daughter to for a while and my girls ruined that for her. If you are this woman, please message me. I can assure you that these girls are being strongly dealt with and appropriately punished. This rude, disrespectful, and awful behavior is unacceptable and they owe you an apology. My husband and I are having them write your apology letter tonight and we would like to pay for your next movie and snacks out of their allowance. Please message me if this is you. I apologize profusely for their disrespect."

What do you think of the way this local mom is handling this situation? Looks like these children have great parents. See the mom in action here: http://abc7chicago.com/family/moms-apology-for-teens-obnoxious-movie-theater-behavior-goes-viral/588052/

7:45 MR. T IS COMING BACK TO TV: Mr. T is returning to TV as the host of a new show on DIY Network. I Pity the Toolwill follow the former A Team actor as he leads a team to remodel a home for a different family in each episode. The 62-year-old said in statement, "I'm tired of all this jibber jabber -- we're out here getting things done, working hard, demolishing the old and rebuilding the new." The show will premiere later this year.

8:15 99-YEAR-OLD MAN CREDITS HIS LONG LIFE TO SMOKING AND DRINKING

There's a village in China where almost all of the residents live into their 90s.

And when asked about the secret of their success, "elder statesman" Yu Fangyin – age 99 – offered up a simple recipe.

Smoke and drink. (I'm not down with it all but...it seems to work for him--so have at it!)

Yu Fangyin smokes. He also drinks more than two-and-a-half gallons of rice wine every month.

This guy is feeling so healthy that he's hoping to find a wife, joking that he'll start looking next year, after his 100th birthday.

It seems that longevity – at least this guy's longevity – doesn't have anything to do with what he's eating or drinking, but instead his commitment to being happy.

If smoking and drinking make you happy, it might not be all bad. (Read the story about this guy and his village in DailyMail)
