Pay it forward this year for your birthday!  My friend Mary Kate did something awesome for her 29th Birthday this year. She decided she didn't want gifts, instead she asked people to do a random act of kindness.  It's a movement called  "The Birthday Project".  The mission of The Birthday Project is to create a shift in the way people from all walks of life think about and celebrate their birthday. Neat huh? Well we have a listener, Melissa who is turning 13 and she's paying it forward in her own way.  For the 4th year in a row, she is hosting "Helping Hands for St. Jude" . Here are the details

You hear Delilah every evening at 7:00pm on 97.5 WLTF and we were lucky enough to talk with her about her new book called "Arms Full of Love; Inspiring True Stories that Celebrate the Gift of Family". She was such a delight. Here is some of hte interview below! Here's a link for the book.

We interviewed Landau Eugene Murphy. He's the winner of 2011 America's Got Talent. He chatted with us this morning about his show tonight at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown. Also here is our interview with Landau this morning. What a nice and talented guy!

Friday Toy Memory: Since we are near Halloween, we thought it would be great to highlight vintage Halloween costumes. I remember going to Toys R Us when I was a kid and picking out the costume that came in the box with the plastic mask. I also recall the mask had crudely cut out eyes and mouth holes that would invariable scratch the skin and the vinyl costume would tie in the back and was always too long. This is why they always suggested that costumes not be too long so that kids couldn't trip on  them. Ha! My favorite was Wonder Woman. See more costumes on e-bay here!

Hurricane Sandy is coming! She is most likely going to be a heavy thunderstorm with lots of winds by the time she reaches us late this weekend or early next week. Here is the link to the Weather Channel's coverage of Hurricane Sandy.

Oh yeah, the slapping spa trend that's happening in San Francisco. Do you think this constitutes slapping? http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50133862n
