SKYFALL Review

Okay, the wait is finally over! We have a new James Bond film! And trust me, it was worth the wait. Skyfall is the first 007 film since 2008's disappointing Quantum of Solace. MGM went bankrupt and there were many road blocks for this new Bond film, but luckily it all worked out. Daniel Craig is back as Bond and he does an incredible job in Skyfall. I would have to say it is his best Bond film to date. Skyfall's story involves Bond getting older, M getting older and times changing. The villain in the film is a former MI6 Agent who has turned bad, named Raoul Silva, played brilliantly by Javier Bardem. Villains are important in Bond movies and I feel he did a great job. Probably the best Bond villain in over 20 years.

The film also brings back many classic Bond references and elements that I will not spoil, but it should make fans of the series very happy. Even if you know little about 007, you will still be able to enjoy the film, because it is one of most character-driven films in the series. Another thing I loved about the film was the visuals. It was shot very well in some exotic locations.

Probably would not take small children to the film (take them to Wreck-It Ralph) but should be fine for 12+ year olds.

I give Skyfall an A-.

Can't wait for James Bond to return!
