Hump Day...I know, it's annoying but still funny
Here's what I covered on the WV Mo Show today:
6:15 Yesterday I talked about the kid who wrote a letter to Santa asking that Santa help his little sister from being bullied.
An eight-year-old boy’s heartfelt letter to Santa Claus has gone viral ever since his mom posted it on Facebook. In the letter, Ryan Suffern of Rocky Mount, NC asks St. Nick to stop kids at school from bullying his twin sister, Amber. He writes, [sic] “Dear Santa ... I wanted a (remote control) car and helicopter, but I don’t want that anymor. Kid at school are still picking on Amber and its not fair. I prayed that they will stop but god is bisy and needs your help.” According to mom Karen Suffern, Amber is overweight and suffers from various mental, mood and attention disorders. While she knew the taunting her daughter received at school was taking an emotional toll, she was shocked when she read her son’s note. She says, “it’s not my fault she is bullied, it’s the fault of the parents who don’t expect their children to treat others with respect just because they are different.” Here’s hoping Christmas comes early for the Suffern family!
Well, mom posted the letter online and the story went viral. Next , the little girl's favorite band seranaded her on National TV on Good Morning America. Read more here.
It’s like something out of a Stephen King novel! A town in the UK is being terrorized by a scary clown! An anonymous man dressed in creepy clown clothes has been appearing on various street corners. He just stands there, ominously. Residents of Northampton say they’ve seen him all over town and that he sometimes carries a clown teddy. His identity has not yet been discovered, but he does have a Facebook page. While the clown is haunting for sure, he seems harmless. Although if you’re afraid of clowns you might want to avoid this town.
Now it turns out they've found this creeper.
Do you pay your kids to get good grades? Turns out there is a big debate about it. What do you think? Pay them or no? Read more here.
