Hi I'm Danielle Hedges. I am local girl who is so happy to be on my hometown radio station. After high school, I moved to Tennessee where I went to college and met my husband. After a few years away, I missed my family and my beloved West Virginia so I came back home.
I am a mom to Kacey, Karee and Kaden, they keep me pretty busy. I love trying to make desserts and crafts off Pinterest. They usually turn out pretty good (most of the time). I love party planning and decorating for all the holidays. I collect snowmen, I have over 300!
I have always loved music and being a DJ gives me the chance to listen to music everyday!
Feeling Guilty for Working Out
by Danielle,posted Feb 25 2012 12:59PM
When I was expecting my third child Kaden, I hadGestational diabetes. I had to watch my diet and be active. It made me more aware that I need to take better care of myself.
I have been active my whole life. I played basketball for many years and between work and kids you know how active you can be. Most recently I noticed I was starting to become more stressed with my life. I remembered back to when I played sports that I felt my best and could control my stress better, so I joined a gym. I'm trying to work out at the gym at least 3 days a week.
Here comes the guilty part. This morning I told my husband that after I got done on the radio that I was going to work out. My older daughter under her breathe said "great she won't be home till 4 or 5." My response to her was, "Don't guilt me into not going, don't you want me to be healthy."
So many times when we don't want to do something that is good for us we let ourselves be tempted by others saying that you can put it off. I feel like in my life I can't do that anymore. I feel I need to do this to be the best Danielle and mom that I can be.
So good luck to you my friend if you are going to try to do something for you when others are trying to guilt you into not doing it.
