Sorry I forgot to blog yesterday. Today's blog will be especially long as a result.
Last night, I went to the gym and got my butt kicked! There is this new iphone app that gives you great abs with no work at all. It's not available for android yet.
There are some crazy inventions out there for better abs. Just stay up until midnight over the weekend and watch the infomercials. They all promise the same thing: massive abs for minimal work. The app ABSmatic takes it a step further. You don't have to do any work. Period. The app does the work for you. Simply take a picture of your abs. The app gives you the option to choose between male and female abs. Each gender offers about a dozen different styles of abs that you can put over your own. Here's anarticleabout that gives you some picture.<== Easier than going to the gym I guess.
Hans popped in this morning and as we were talking about the app. He told me that he also runs. Who knew? He was talking about the guy who puts on 5K's locally withLocoRacing.com. Check out his site and maybe sign up for a 5K Run/Walk that will benefit a worthy charity.
I love guys with goatees. I really do. However, if they look ragged, I'm not into it. Hans, hipped me to this new thing. Guys do you have an unsteady hand when shaving? This new " Goatee Saver" will help you get the perfect shave every time. Weird looking contraption ain't it? This guy's blog has a pretty funny take on why this is a ridiculous product.

In other entertainment news....
Carrie Underwood gave a 12- year old fan a memory of a lifetime when she noticed he had a sign in the audience in Louisville, that said "Be My First Kiss". She pulled him onstage and did the deed. See the video below. It's really cute!
Another video. Bruno Mars knows how to poke fun at himself. Here he is doing his version of "Whatta Man" (remember that song from Salt n Pepa?). Pretty much it's full of images of Bruno being "that guy" that rescues women from burning buildings, wakes up in tux and many other cute pop culture visuals. Love him!
Yesterday, I interviewed Catherine Cassidy. She's the Editor in Chief of "Taste Of Home" Magazine. You've seen them at the grocery store, bookstore, and even at home improvement stores. Taste Of Home has a new book of recipes called "Best Loved Recipes" that features almost 1,500 submitted recipes! We talked about Tailgating foods. Here are 3 of the recipes we talked about yesterday. Appetizer Meatballs, Sandwich for a crowd, and Scrumptious Cookies n Cream Brownies.

Sandwich for a Crowd
My husband and I live on a 21-acre horse ranch and are pleased to invite friends to enjoy it with us. When entertaining, I rely on no-fuss make-ahead entrees like this satisfying sandwich. -Helen Hougland, Spring Hill, Kansas

2 loaves (1 pound each) unsliced Italian bread

Cookies N’ Cream Brownies
You won't want to frost these brownies, since the marbled top is too pretty to cover up. Besides, the tasty cream cheese layer makes them taste like they're already frosted. The crushed cookies add extra chocolate flavor and a fun crunch. -Darlene Markel, Sublimity, Oregon
