"Have you ever thought to yourself, “Man, I love fast food, but sometimes it just isn’t unhealthy enough?” No? Come on, I can’t be the only one who has ever had that thought! "
See what I mean? There is an entire blog about foods you shouldn't eat (and the praise of said foods), I was all over it. Hans and I discussed "Dude Foods" and other delights at 6:15 this morning.
Last night, Hans served as MC for the March of Dimes the Signature Chefs Event. He talked about a very inspiring young lady named Selena Jackson who was on hand to speak about how March of Dimes helped her. The goal was to $46,000 during the event through silent auctions and fundraising. Here is anarticleincluding clips of Selena fromYour4State.Com.
Is it me or do we already know that obesity is up in America? I thought we all knew that. Well, leave it to a new company to tell us what we already know. The Rand Corpoiration conducted a study that shows us that it's worse than we all thought. Pretty much, the study says that since the year 2000, obesity rates have grown exponentially. That's weird since, they've updated the food labels, the First Lady Michelle Obama had a Let's Move campaign, and even fast food has been forced to list the calorie count on their offerings...we still continue to gain. Read the article here<=====...then put down that burger! (kidding, I actually loooooove hamburgers).
We decided to take a poll to see if people go to the gym at all. I try to go at least 3-4 times a week. I have exercise equipment at home but I use it as a clothes hanger (I kid you not!). We put a poll on ourfacbook page. Feel free to take it and add some comments.
