Columbus Day? Meh.

As Hans put it. Columbus Day, Schlemumbus Day. Who cares. I wish I got a day off. Do I sound bitter? I'm really trying not to...it's just that it's all of a sudden winter and I dislike very much. Whaaaa.
Okay, now that I'm done whining about the weather and having to go to work on a crappy day. How about some of the fun stuff you heard on our show this morning? It's great to have Hans in the studio so we can cut up and have fun in the morning with you. (I always feel like "with ya" is cheesy DJ talk but sometime's I'm cheesy)
On the show today:
At 5:45 you heard Dave Nadelberg from the Mortified Sessions. It's a great show on Sundance Channel and season 2 begins tonight!
Here's my interview with Dave Nadelberg. Good stuff! Tune in tonight!
6:15- We talked about the showWalking Dead on AMC.Hans is a big fan of the show and he's eagerly looking forward to the new season which starts next Sunday, October 14th. In the meantime, the producers have teamed up with the American Red Cross to do something fun with the zombie show.
"AMC will partner with the American Red Cross for a special promotion for the series. The promotion will be called The American Red Cross Zombie Blood drive and it starts this week and runs through October 22nd. For the campaign, there will be special “zombie-fied” celebrity photos that will run during the show in the form of custom Public Zombie Announcements or PZA’s. The PZA’s will encourage viewers to give blood to the Red Cross which would be helpful in the event of a natural disaster or say a zombie apocalypse. AMC is also putting together a sweepstakes for those who support donating blood to the Red Cross. The grand prize winner will get a set visit to “The Walking Dead” in Atlanta, Georgia".Click here for the link! See the PZA below...

Facebook is getting back to business. Now that they have reached 1 BILLION users (cray-zee if you ask my opinion) they are starting to sell gifts on the site to maximize marketing efforts.
Think about it, you could have one billion potential new customers at your fingertips if you are a business.
Hear are some interesting little stats about Facebook users...
More than a billion people now log into Facebook each month. That’s double the 500 million it hit in July 2010. August 2008 marked another big juncture, 100 million users. The latest milestone also amounts to nearly half of the world’s roughly 2.5 billion Internet users, as measured by the International Telecommunications Union. So who are all those people on Facebook?
Most Facebook users – 81% – live outside of the U.S. and Canada.
Many of them log in on mobile devices rather than personal computers, and the company now has 600 million mobile users.
The people joining now are young, with a median age of 22. It was 23 in 2010 and 26 in 2008 and 2007.
Most of them are from Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico and the United States. They are unlikely to be from China, the world’s most populous country and home to its largest Internet population.
Millions of them are not actual people. Facebook acknowledged in August that 8.7% of its then-955 million users may be duplicate or false accounts. At that rate, as many as 87 million accounts are fake.
A user who signed up two years ago has an average of 305 friends. Someone who signed up in January 2006, when Facebook had 25 million users, now has nearly 600 friends, on average.
Now for the gift stuff on Facebook... Read more here!
