Bacon Barters?

What if there was a guy driving around offering free bacon. Would you take it? Um, is my name Rona? YES!!!!  YES!!! and TRIPLE YES!!!!!

Ahem. I digress. Read this...

Actor, comedian and writer Josh Sankey is seeking to make his way across the country in the next two weeks with only a dream and a trailer filled with 3,000 pounds of a new bacon. Sankey embarked this week on a promotion for Oscar Mayer that is being called the Great American Bacon Barter. Sankey’s trailer is filled with a ton and a half of its new Butcher Thick Cut bacon, which he’ll trade for food, fuel, a place to spend the night and anything else he might need during his trip from the New York area to Los Angeles. Sankey has no cash or credit cards. The idea is to turn him loose with his cache of bacon and see what happens, not unlike power barterers who start with a paper clip and wind up with a house. You can watch Josh’s adventure on BaconBarter.com and interact with him along the way, sharing what you would be willing to barter by tweeting @BaconBarter or at BaconBarter.com – ultimately giving fans the power to impact Sankey’s stops throughout his road trip. =============>I just saw that he bartered for a taxicab in NYC and got a place to stay in Louisville.  So fun!

Sheryl Crow Says Cell Phone Use Is To Blame For Brain Tumor

Sheryl Crow suspects that the benign brain tumor she has may have been caused by her cell phone. “There are no doctors that will confirm that,” Crow, 50, said while appearing on the premiere of “Katie,” the new syndicated talk show hosted by Katie Couric. “[But] I do have the theory that it’s possible that it’s related to that. I [used to spend] hours on the old archaic cell phones.” Crow, who says the tumor is in a part of her brain near where she often held her phone, says she started to suspect something was wrong when she began spacing out on stage, forgetting lyrics and generally feeling “mushy.” “I [was] worried I had an early [onset] Alzheimer’s,” she confesses. In the end, Crow says the non-cancerous tumor is “nothing I have to worry about,” but the breast cancer survivor said finding out she had a tumor was “definitely a sobering moment.”
